WASTE POLICY

Clear rules for garden waste.

Garden waste removal is not automatically included in the booking price. This page explains the available options and any additional charges.

What happens to garden waste?

  • Gardeners will collect and organise waste created during the booked service.

  • Customers can choose to keep the waste at the property for their own disposal.

  • Waste removal is available as an additional charge where selected or approved.

Waste removal charges

£35

Waste is charged at £35 per 500-litre waste bag.

  • Up to five bags may be charged automatically where waste removal has been requested or approved.

  • If more than five bags are required, the customer must approve the additional charge before further waste is removed.

  • The charge covers loading, transport and lawful disposal.

Keeping the waste at your property

  • Customers may choose to retain the waste.

  • Waste will be left in a reasonable location agreed with the customer where practical.

  • The customer is then responsible for disposal.

  • Gardeners are not responsible for arranging council collections or external disposal services unless specifically agreed.

Waste we may not be able to take

  • Soil, rubble, concrete or construction materials

  • Large tree trunks or specialist arboricultural waste

  • Hazardous, contaminated or unknown materials

  • Household rubbish

  • Waste not created by the booked gardening work

If specialist disposal is required, the gardener or support team will explain the available options before any additional work or charge is agreed.

Access matters

  • Waste removal depends on safe access to the garden and vehicle.

  • Long carries, stairs, restricted access or parking limitations may affect what can be removed within the booking.

  • The customer should include relevant access information when booking.

Garden Clearance in Walthamstow

Book a garden clearance in Walthamstow online. Overgrowth, brambles, cuttings and general garden waste cleared by an independent professional gardener.

Clearing an overgrown garden in Walthamstow

Clearance visits are booked through Now Gardening in the same way as any other service. You choose the visit length, add waste removal if needed and confirm online.

Access is the other big factor. Gate widths, steps and parking all affect how quickly waste can be moved out.

Planning a clearance in Walthamstow

Most clearances involve heavy cutting back, strimming, weeding out beds and removing the resulting green waste, with paths and patios tidied at the end.

Given the long, narrow Victorian gardens found around Walthamstow Village and Blackhorse Road, mentioning what you want kept, such as established shrubs or planting, avoids anything being cut back too hard.
