WASTE POLICY

Clear rules for garden waste.

Garden waste removal is not automatically included in the booking price. This page explains the available options and any additional charges.

What happens to garden waste?

  • Gardeners will collect and organise waste created during the booked service.

  • Customers can choose to keep the waste at the property for their own disposal.

  • Waste removal is available as an additional charge where selected or approved.

Waste removal charges

£35

Waste is charged at £35 per 500-litre waste bag.

  • Up to five bags may be charged automatically where waste removal has been requested or approved.

  • If more than five bags are required, the customer must approve the additional charge before further waste is removed.

  • The charge covers loading, transport and lawful disposal.

Keeping the waste at your property

  • Customers may choose to retain the waste.

  • Waste will be left in a reasonable location agreed with the customer where practical.

  • The customer is then responsible for disposal.

  • Gardeners are not responsible for arranging council collections or external disposal services unless specifically agreed.

Waste we may not be able to take

  • Soil, rubble, concrete or construction materials

  • Large tree trunks or specialist arboricultural waste

  • Hazardous, contaminated or unknown materials

  • Household rubbish

  • Waste not created by the booked gardening work

If specialist disposal is required, the gardener or support team will explain the available options before any additional work or charge is agreed.

Access matters

  • Waste removal depends on safe access to the garden and vehicle.

  • Long carries, stairs, restricted access or parking limitations may affect what can be removed within the booking.

  • The customer should include relevant access information when booking.

Book a gardener

Now Gardening is a booking platform for finding and booking professional local gardeners. Choose the service you need, select availability and confirm online.

How booking a gardener works

You pick the service, review what is included and how long the visit is, then choose from the availability offered by independent gardeners in your area. Pricing is shown before you confirm and payment is processed through the platform.

Every gardener runs their own business, sets their own availability and is independently reviewed by customers. That keeps the arrangement transparent: you know the work, the time and the cost before anyone arrives.

What you can book

Bookings cover regular upkeep such as mowing, edging and weeding, as well as pruning, hedge trimming, border care, seasonal cutting back and larger tidy ups. Green waste removal can be added where needed.

Start with a single visit to get the garden back under control, then set up recurring visits if it suits. Frequency can be adjusted as growth slows through the year.
